Give A Day, Get A Disney Day!

January 22, 2010

Although the winter rains continue to pour on, it’s time to start thinking about what to do when the sun starts shining. This season, Sequoia Riverlands Trust is offering more volunteer opportunities than ever before, and we look forward to meeting many of you.

Thanks to our participation in Disney’s “Give A Day/Get A Disney Day” program, you have the chance to receive Disney park tickets for you and your household by volunteering with us. Please read over Disney’s website thoroughly to make sure you qualify for the program, and we will do our part by providing you with the opportunity to volunteer. Any of the volunteer opportunities listed on this blog satisfy our requirements for a day of service.

All of our volunteer work days have a limited number of slots, and we will fill them on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.

A few volunteer opportunities require specific skills, and others have a minimum age requirement. Please read the volunteer position descriptions thoroughly before signing up for them.

Once you decide which volunteer opportunities you want to participate in, please contact us at volunteer@sequoiariverlands.org with your top three choices, the number of people in your party, your name, the names of other people in your party, ages of anyone under 21, your telephone number, and your email address. If you receive an auto-response email, don’t be alarmed, we will get back to you shortly to confirm your eligibility and fill you in on more details, such as  exact locations and meeting places.

If you’ve signed up for a volunteer work day and find that you cannot attend, please promptly call or email us to cancel so that we may fill your spot with another eager volunteer. Thank you.
